Get Well, Nick!

I'm sending out prayers, positive thoughts, and well wishes to the Cannon's. Nick is in the hospital suffering from mild kidney failure. How is failure of anything mild? I just Googled and couldn't find anything on mild renal failure but the good news is that as long as is it's not acute and Nick is relatively healthy, which I think he is because he eats well and works out regularly, then he should recover somewhat normal kidney function.

Here is Mariah's message:

This is us in the hospital - role reversal; Last year it was me attached to the machines (after having dembabies) and Nick was there with me through it, and now here we are.
We're trying to be as festive as possible under the circumstances but please keep Nick in your thoughts because this is very painful. They tried to kick me out of the hospital but here I am pon de bed with Mr. C. We're doing OK but we're "straaaaaanded in Aspen". #DramaticDivaPlace (I know, we could be in a lot worse places) but the truth is as long as we're together, we're OK. I'm not trying to make light out of the situation because it's a serious moment that's very tough on all of us so please keep us and our family in your prayers. LYM.(Love you much, for the internet acronym challenged)

I love this note from Mariah. A lot of people doubt the validity of her marriage to Nick but from what I can see in this note, she seems like she really loves and appreciates him. I pray for the entire family and hope they get well soon.

The rumor mills are ablaze with the fact that Mariah Carey said in her interview with 20/20 that she does not trust her husband of 3 years. In the clip, Barbara Walters asked Mariah if she trusted Nick and she said sometimes. Nick looked very shocked and assured her that she could. This part has received more attention than the babies themselves.

I'm cringing, not because of the soundbite, but because this interview shouldn't have been done. Mariah and Nick should have given 20/20 a picture or tweeted or posted them, but this interview may be the beginning of the end. Anytime you let someone into your relationship, be it one person or millions of people like Mariah and Nick did, you break the bond that you and your partner have. Not only that, it's difficult to get those people out. Now Mariah and Nick's relationship will forever be scrutinized. Everything is open for discussion. Did he cheat? Why would they get married if they didn't know each other? Why did they argue?

Mariah and Nick, let this be your last joint interview. Let this be your last interview about your relationship. Keep your relationship private. Don't involve your family, friends, the public, your hair dresser, anyone. Your relationship should be between you, your spouse, and God or your higher power.

Preview: Mariah Carey "Imperfect"

Mariah Carey has not let a shelved album, "Angels Advocate" stop her from making new music. According to thatgrapejuice.net, Carey has been in the studio with Tricky Stewart and they have come up with this track: "Imperfect." No word on what Mariah is planning to do musically in the upcoming year.
