Or what I call, Superbass part 2. The song is okay. It sounds like something Nicki threw together so she wouldn't lose her crossover appeal. I don't turn the station when the song comes on but it doesn't give me life. The video is confusing. I would love to see that treatment board because it has to be all over the place. I'm guessing that aliens invade Hawaii and they're women in bikini's and Nicki Minaj has a party and sings on the beach. That's pretty much it.
Everything looks so fake and forced. Nicki doesn't look happy in the video. She's trying this poppy thing that doesn't seem to fit her. I'm not saying that Nicki needs to stay in the "mixtape" lane but she just looks uncomfortable.

Album Cover Fab
Nothing spectacular going on here. Chris looks nice but I've seen this type of cover too many times too count.

What is Going On Here?
And why? Did Anna Wintour do this to make fun of Nicki? I like the top/dress but why is Nicki blue and why does her face look constipated? This does not look artistic, it looks wrong.
On discovering make up at LaGuardia High SchoolI was dressing in Tommy Hilfiger baggy shirts and Boss jeans, but then I met a person who dressed like a tiny lady—pantsuits, heels, lots of makeup. I thought she was larger than life. She once did my makeup—I had never seen myself made up before. I didn’t want to wash it off; I felt like I had one day to live this fantasy of being a glamour girl.
On not being label-obsessed but admitting to spending $50,000 at one time on certain itemsIf I can combine designer things with other things, I’m a happy camper. Giuseppe, Versace, YSL, and Fendi shoes. And I bought tons of Vuitton bags. When you’re a young girl from Queens, you’re going to stock up on those bags.
On what she’s planning to do for young girls An enormous foundation to nurture girls. The Nicki Minaj girl is a fun, artsy girl who can become a fierce force to be reckoned with on Wall Street! They hang on my every word, so I tell them, go to school, be ambitious. The worst position is to be financially dependent on the man. I could never be that girl.

Nicki Minaj, We Need to Talk
I like this new look you have going on. You're in bright colors while looking like an adult. Kudos to you and your stylist. I'm willing to forgive the eyelashes because the make up is on point. I'm a bit confused about the striped matronly suit but if you took the jacket off, it would be better. Girl, where did you get that lace front? Better yet, who applied that lace front? Whoever did, needs to be fired ASAP. You also need to get your eyes checked because that wig is applied all kinds of wrong.
First, I can see the lace and it's not properly applied to your head.Second, I can see your natural hair color. Third, it looks like left over Barbie hair. What is going on? Nicki, you make too much money for this. I don't hate the color or even the wig, I just know you can do better. BTW, I love the bottom outfit. I will be recreating it.

Nicki Minaj on the Cover of Vibe
I guess Nicki Minaj is pretending to be a fairy-tale princess or something. The pic is not bad. I don't hate that hair on her and her make up is nice. I can't say I hate it.
Here are a few excerpts from the issue:
You’ve said before that you didn’t really have fun recording Pink Friday.
I felt like I had something to prove to everyone who said a female rapper could not make an album unless she was talking about her pussy. And so I went above and beyond to prove that I could not talk about sex and not talk about my genitalia and still have a successful album. And I proved that. And now my time for proving things to my critics is over. I don’t really need to prove anything to anyone else anymore.
Is it still hard to get your way as a woman in this industry?
It’s not hard to get your way when it’s your way or the highway. People either follow suit or they’re not around. I don’t really like the sound of that, ‘cause that sounds like a temper tantrum. I’m just very black and white when it comes to my business. There’s really no gray area. I really don’t have a lot of small talk with people I work with. It’s pretty much let’s get the job done. In the beginning, if people didn’t know me they’d probably assume I wasn’t smart or wasn’t business savvy. But once you sit and talk to me, it’s a different story. You were heavy on the fashion scene last year around Fashion Week with Anna Wintour.
Do you feel like you’ve been accepted by the fashion world?
Yeah, I realized more recently that even if it’s for a fashion magazine, I’m not gonna change who I am. When I was doing photo shoots last year, I kept on being told, “This is what we want your hair to look like and this is what we want you to look like,” and it really, really stifled my creativity. So the other day I was talking to a photographer, and he said, “You know what, I like your everyday looks so much better than when you do photo shoots for magazines.” And I was like, “So do I, you’re absolutely right.” I’d been getting more and more frustrated for a while."
But I’ve made up my mind that when you see a Nicki Minaj magazine cover from now on, it’s really going to reflect me and it’s going to be something that I creatively had a hand in, because I don’t have to do it anymore. I don’t have to do things just to please people. It’s okay to do what I love because what I love, my fans love. And they’re really the only ones that should matter. The fashion world will have to come to Nicki Minaj, as opposed to Nicki Minaj trying to go to the fashion world.

Nicki, Nicki, Nicki
Nicki Minaj is the epitome of doing too much-and that doing too much may have hurt her career. When will artists learn that you don't offend the Catholic church?
Nicki's performance confused me. I had no idea what was going on or why she was being exorcised, although the latter is not a bad idea. Was Nicki even singing? I know that she says that she doesn't lip-sync and the BET thing from a couple years back was the sound guy, but all I heard was the backing track. "Roman, take your medication," or something to that effect. I felt like this performance was more appropiate for the Academy Awards or the MTV Movie Awards, or maybe the VMAs. The Grammy's is about showcasing your talent, not your showmanship. Although Lady Gaga is the queen of theatrics, she always let her talent shine. And she always turned it out with live singing and a bit of piano playing. What was Nicki doing and why? This should have been a skit because there was no music to boot. Nicki did too much for the Grammy's.
I know that Nicki accomplished what she wanted. She wanted attention and to be noticed on the world's biggest stage, but what happened to talent shining through. I guess Adele is the only singer who can stand at a mike, sing, and slay everyone else. Say what you want about Adele, but her true talent shines through.

Look of The Day: Nicki Minaj in Paper Magazine
Bravo to Nicki Minaj or the stylists at Paper Magazine. I love this look on Nicki Minaj and yes I will be recreating this look. I'm not even mad at the crazy looking hair. If I was Nicki, I would have taken both of these outfits home with me. I love Nicki Minaj in simple looks and I love color. Nicki needs to keep this look which is a mix of youthful adolescence and adult chic. We know she'll be back to looking like a cartoon in no time though.
Now if we can talk about those contacts and those atrocious eyelashes. I think Nicki needs a new make up artist because it's hit or mess a lot. Her make up is the only thing that is throwing this pic off. Maybe she's wearing too much concealer but it looks off.

Madonna Ft. M.IA and Nicki Minaj - Give Me All Your Luvin'
Whenever I hear this song, I feel like I should be cheering. This song is very middle school cheerleading squad and I know it's gonna be very popular in competitive cheerleading. I guess that's why they're cheering in the video. Hold on, are M.I.A and Nicki Minaj actually looking like people and not living cartoons? Kudos to them for that. Madonna also looks very good for 50.
This song is a hit. This is very poppy and will appeal to the younger consumers, like Madonna's daughter's age group and that's the only group that matters. Young girls will eat this up, so Kudos to Madonna for having a hit single. I want Madonna to do better. Did she do this music when she first came out? Madonna should be trying to be mature not a 15-year-old in a 50 year old body.

Nicki Minaj, We Need to Talk
That is why her album has been pushed back three months. That is unusual for an artist of this caliber. Young Money knows this album is garbage and they're pulling the plug so she can revamp/Nicki Minaj is one of musics biggest stars and the only female rapper who is making an impact. Nicki has no competition and she's feeling herself. It's time for Nicki to grow beyond these songs. I don't know where she's going to grow to but she can do better than "Stupid Hoe." In my opinion, Lil' Kim is not worth the breath it takes to make a diss record. Lil' Kim's last number went #1 on pay pal and even that was disputed by pay pal. When is the last time you heard a Lil' Kim song on the radio? Lil' Kim is a joke, she doesn't need anyone making diss records about her.
It's time for Nicki to grow up and stop resting on her laurels. She may have accomplished a lot but she can easily be ousted. Nicki needs to focus less on being a cartoon and more of being a rapper. There is a reason why "Stupid Hoe" has more dislikes than likes. Yes, she has the perfume, clothes, OPI, and whatever else but she is becoming a punchline. Do better, Nicki.

Really Nicki Minaj?
Nicki Minaj and her
A couple weeks ago, a maid hired by Nicki retrieved a discarded photo the rapper threw in the trash. Apparently the maid asked Nicki autograph the picture and that's when hell broke loose and the maid was fired. Yesterday, the maid arrived at Nicki's Hollywood condo and round two ensued, with Minaj demanding she leave her property and the maid counter-demanding that she not "be treated like an animal. Nicki made mistake #3 when she threatened the maid stating, "I'll show you how to treat someone like an animal. Get the f--- out of my house! Safaree, still not having learned his lesson from Dallas, decided it was a good idea to push the maid.
However, it seems that Nicki with her millions may need new glasses, and a really good lawyer, because the maid she had the altercation with was the wrong maid-this maid was a new employee. Dang Nicki, you can't tell the difference between your maids. Well, this maid is not going away quietly. A battery report was filed with the LAPD and the maid inquired about a citizen's arrest but no arrests have yet to be made.

Domestic violence music: Rihanna

Rihanna is quickly becoming the spokes person for domestic violence… you would think after she pissed off Chris breezy and got her ass kicked she would try to forget about the whole ordeal. But after we all heard Eminem’s platinum album “love the way you lie” struck a cord with the critics and women alike. Now that Rihanna has an album of her own coming out with hot singles like “what’s my name” featuring Drake, you would think she’s done with loving an ass kicking.. but surprise .. there is a part 2 to the madness and this time its from her point of view. Maybe its me but I think Eminem is getting a little too into this… but without further banter… here is the track to be featured on “LOUD”
Rihanna by WWW.VIIMAG.COM
Here is the track listing for her album, unfortunately there is no mention of “tea mo” or “Who’s that chick” maybe well get it as a bonus
the album is scheduled to be released on November 16, 2010
Rihanna – Loud
1. S&M
2. What’s My Name feat. Drake
3. Cheers (Drink To That)
4. Fading

6. California King Bed

8. Raining Men feat. Nicki Minaj

There is also the limited edition Loud couture edition featuring the deluxe edition of Loud, and most things in the Ultra Couture Edition.[21] The limited edition Ultra Couture Edition features a copy of the Deluxe Edition of Loud signed by Rihanna herself, as well as a deluxe cover art lithograph, a box set with enhanced clear couture cover, a full-size photo book and the MP3 download of Loud on street date.[22] All of those features are included in the regular couture edition, except the autograph of Rihanna.

Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday Release

The only features are Eminem and Drake but the song Drizzy is featured on isn’t being annoucend by Nicki’s camp (yet). I’m surprised Lil’ Wayne isn’t on the album but I’m assuming him being on Rikers Island for the past 9 months might have something to do with that. The clean version of the album will have the Will.I.Am collaboration Check It Out on it. Check out the complete tracklist for Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday album dropping on November 22nd below:

Nicki Minaj feat. Will.I.Am - "Check It Out" feat. Will.I.Am / "Right Through Me"
Harajuku Barbie and Will.I.Am release their new video for "Check It Out" feat. Will.I.Am. While Harajuku is known as being a significant fashion and shopping region in Tokyo, Nicki is actually using Korean extras and text in this video. Can't say YMCMB aren't utilizing their market.
*With all of the flack Will.I.Am got from his outfit at the VMAs, I wonder if critics will say anything about his "whiteface" in the video, lol.
Update:
Nicki dropped her "Right Through Me" video shortly after "Check It Out" yesterday. With smart moves like this, why all the worrying Onika?
"She was worrying about first week. She was like, 'Drake sold [463,000]. What you think I'ma sell? As if she gon' sell less," recalls (Mack)Maine. "I explained to her, 'You know a lot of the press and the media really got it brainwashed with first week sales.' Bieber went on to sell 2 million and Bieber might have only sold 17,000 the first week. Juvenile sold like 30,000 his first week of 400 Degreez and went on to sell 6 million...I don't know what happened to working the record and making sure that the artist reaches a certain point."(VIBE)
Good point Mack, whatever happened to that??
If some of her recent Pink Friday material seems a little too...(eh)POPpy for your ears, Maine says don't fret...
"I heard the majority of the album. Nicki's talented so I made sure she still put something on there for the urban audience, so it's not all pop," added Maine. "Nicki can sing, rap, she just giving you what she feel like giving you. It's diverse, she's versatile--she's been there. Everyone's loving the 'Right Through Me' record...There's no reason to be nervous. Basically, right now, there's no competition. I think confidence kills nervousness. She is the one. All eyes [are] on Nicki so all she really has to do is do her. It's not an act. When you doing you, it's nothing you can mess up at because you're being yourself. She's found herself, she's found her lane, so there's not really too much to be nervous about." (VIBE)
Nicki's Pink Friday album drops on November 22nd.
