Lupe Fiasco's Cross Country Venture for the Kids

Chicago rapper Lupe Fiasco is starting a new tradition on Tuesday (May 25), an annual cross-country run ... for the kids, of course.

Fiasco will begin his first annual cross-country trek at midnight on Tuesday, where he will travel from Chicago all the way to Los Angeles.

He will drive a 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS, alongside his friend Caleb Garrett.

"The 1st annual run to the sun starts tonight @ midnight! Starting Line: Chicago. Finish Line: Los Angeles. Drivers: Lupe 'Laser 1' Fiasco & Caleb 'Stuntman' Garrett. Weapon of Choice: 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS a.k.a Skull Leader Zero," Lupe blogged on his official website, LupeFiasco.com.

"Why? For the Love and For The Kids!!! Support your local homeless shelters and food pantries! Stop the Violence!!"
