Undateable

Have you ever been hanging out with someone and the two of you really seem to click, then all of a sudden you make a revelation and the brakes come to a screeching halt? It's as if the future you imagined with them dissapears and everything else becomes a blur. What is it that makes a person who was once datable, or even marriage material, a dating leper?

Age: for women this is a big turn off. We will often date older but will not date younger.

Physical attributes: height, race, abnormal body parts are all dating deal breakers

Religion: this is a big one. He's atheist, you and God are tight. He's jewish and you're devout catholic but you love each other. Should this be a deal breaker?

they're card carrying members of Broke phi Broke: have you ever been with someone so broke that you're not sure if they could afford to pay attention? This person is cool but they're pockets are empty. They may be an artist or a student but either way you cut it, they can't afford you. Do you wait for them to get their finances right or move on?

They voted for John McCain: democrats and republicans, don't mention the other two because they don't matter, to be frank. But anyway, what do you do if your future baby daddy or baby mama doesn't share your political beliefs?

Sex: they're a freak, you're conservative. They want oral, you're still learning. You're a virgin and they're not. Maybe you're saving it for marriage and they don't share your belief. Whatever the case, after you talked, you and your date looked like the picture above.

Bad habits: he smokes, he forgets important dates, picks his nose, does some drugs, or he wears mis matched clothes, are those deal breakers?

dating history: your friends make up their last, next, and current or they're the town whore but they seemed redeemed.

Family: their mother would rather see them with satan than to have them walk through the door with you again. They say mother's know best but does it matter if you're in love?

I could go on all day but do these really matter if you love someone. Your thoughts?
