Let's take a few moments to remember the late King of Pop, Michael Jackson. Today would have been Michael's 52nd birthday. Although he left us too soon, here are VII things you can do to remember him.
1. Play his music- this is one is a given. The only job Michael ever had was being a musician. He loved his music and wanted it to be the best. Listen to your Thriller album or one of your favorite songs.
2. watch his videos- one of the things Michael loved more than his music, was making videos to go with those songs. Michael is known for his groundbreaking videos. Watch one of the many channels doing a Michael tribute or visit youtube.
3. make a donation- Michael held the Guiness record for most charitable donations. A few of his favorite causes were children, animals, and the environment. Make a donation to an organization dedicated to one of those causes.
4. be a kid- we know Michael was a kid at heart so in honor of him, be a kid for a day. Go to a fair, have a water balloon fight, do something childish.
5. dance- Michael loved to dance and you can dance. Put on your favorite red leather jacket and re-create the moves to thriller. It's okay, we know you do it in private anyway.
6. volunteer- as stated before, Michael loved to give back. If you're financially unable to make a donation, then give some of your time. This weekend is also the 5th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, find something in your area to do, go to a food kitchen, do something.
7. reflect on Michael- Michael was a very introspective soul. Take a few seconds to remember what he meant to you and his influence on you. If you don't want to do these things, just take time to send him your love.
