Despite chatter of "Ride" flopping, this being Ciara's last chance in the business, and laziness, her 4th album Basic Instinct has a release date. The album will be released on August 10th, which is also Fantasia's new release date. According to wikipedia, her last album only sold 193,000 copies despite debuting at #3. Let's hope those aren't updated numbers. "Ride" has also hit #9 on the R&B charts.
Here's what Tricky Stewart said about the album last year,
Right now, she’s on her grind, coming back, trying to make a better album than
she made last time and get back to that mark where everybody knew that she was
in the top tier of the female business."
