Recovery sells 615,000 albums in its first week

I love Drake and he sold very well for a debut but he's still not the #1 rapper. If Drake was going to open #1, he won't because he's been outsold by nearly 140,000 copies. Eminem’s ‘Recovery’ is on the road to having the biggest 1st week sales of the year thus far. The last time a rapper sold nearly that much was when Wayne dropped tha Carter III. The rapper’s LP is predicted to sell 590-615k, topping the 503k copies of Sade’s ‘Soldier of Love’ sold in February. With the massive success of his #1 single ‘Not Afraid’ and his new song, ‘Love The Way You Lie (Ft. Rihanna)’, already #1 on iTunes. Not bad for an album without too much promotion or buzz.
