Whitney's Funeral to Be Private

Kudos to the Houston Family to keeping Whitney's funeral a private affair. I understand that people want to publicly mourn one of the biggest stars, but people tend to forget this was a human being and a mother lost her daughter and a daughter lost her mother. Death is hard enough but to speak to someone a half hour or even 5 minutes before their death and they seemed fine and now they're dead, is hard for anyone to accept. I'm sure the Houston family wanted a low key affair with Whitney's friends and people they trust.

At the funeral, scheduled for noon Saturday at the New Hope Baptist Church in Newark, NJ, Marvin Winans will deliver the eulogy. Rumor is that there will be a choir full of music greats and that the church is in discussions to have a monitor outside so that people not invited to the service, can view it and pay their respects. Governor Christie ordered flags flown at half-staff during the funeral.
