Kim and Kris: The Epitome to a Stunt Gone Wrong

I know you're sick of the Kardashian family and I am too, so I'm going to try and make this the last Kardashian post of this week. Now that that's out the way, let's talk about this stunt gone wrong. The Kardashians are stunt queens. Their job is to garner interest in them so they can continue to make money. Their talent is being themselves. Kim and Kris Kardashian Jenner are the biggest stunt queens, they're the biggest drama queens. I don't know what the motivation behind Kim's marriage to Kris Humphries was, but it was clear to anyone who watched them interact that there was no love, or basic chemistry there. They barely liked or knew each other. Everything was too set up; too perfect. Everything also began to unravel fairly quickly. Although the Kardashians are master manipulators of the media, the media has bitten back. This stunt has blown up in their face tremendously. It's the talk of the week and no one has any sympathy for Kim. How could they? She earned $18 million for everything related a marriage that lasted long enough for the check to clear. The top trending topic for Monday and most of Tuesday was, #thingsthatlastedlongerthankimsmarriage. Blog and reputable news organizations are calling her out on this stunt and they're not too kind.

The Kardashians are in damage control mode. Yesterday, both Kim and Kris Jenner have come to her defense stating that she didn't make a dime off her weddind, (side eye), that she married for love (double side eye), and that she will be donating all gifts and anything she received from the wedding to charity. Okay Kim. I'm tired of Kim playing the victim role. Kim Kardashian is not a victim, she's a volunteer and she should act like it. Kim is always playing the victim. When her sex tape "leaked" she played the victim, receiving a multi-million dollar "settlement" from Vivid entertainment. It has never become clear how the sex tape leaked but Kim herself has said that she agreed to make the tape if she could keep it. (Side eye) As much as Ray-J talks, if he leaked it, I'm sure he would admit to it. I'm sure if anyone else leaked it, they would be talking about it because it's been that lucrative. That's the Kardashians only well kept secret. When the nude photos were released, Kim cried as if she didn't know that those nude photos were going to be used. Kourtney didn't buy into her tears stating that "if she didn't want them used, she shouldn't have posed for them." A well known and respected magazine like W doesn't have to trick Kim Kardashian into posing nude with silver body paint. She chose to pose like that. She didn't take one picture with a bit of clothing on. In the Bora Bora special of KUWTK, Kim cried about losing her $75,000 earring in the ocean. Kris Humphries looked at her like she was crazy and asked her why she owned anything that she couldn't replace and why would she wear it into the ocean? We all wondered the same thing.

Kim Kardashian is a stunt queen who takes herself way to seriously. Kim puts so much emphasis on a temporary career. Her career is based on whether or not people like her and their patience is wearing thin. She's barely respected in Hollywood and news media makes a mockery out of her. Although she has garnered the Kardashian name into a well known and very lucrative brand, no one respects her. Her welcome is wearing thin in Hollywood and anyone with a grain of salt can see through her. If I were Kim, instead of crying and playing the victim, I would get in on the joke. That has worked for decades. When stars fall from grace, they get on SNL or mock themselves. She should have joined the trending topic. She should have tweeted something like #thingsthatlastedlongerthankimsmarriage My;manicure or Mason breastfeeding. Something silly and lighthearted. Or she can go on SNL or any internet show and make a skit of her getting married and then filing divorce papers in her wedding dress, while she counts her millions. Everyone will be making fun of her, so she should get in on it. It will also make her a lot more likable.
