My Thoughts on the Kardashian Backlash

Do I have to become Chris Crocker? Leave Kim Kardashian alone. Don't take this as me becoming soft on the Kardashian's or me even liking them. I think Kim Kardashian is annoying. I hate watching her whine about trivial things like a room being too big, her losing a $75,000 earring, her psoriasis, which was easily covered up with make up, and her on People with her sad face crying about her lack of marriage and kids. I find Kim annoying and I guess everyone else does too because her screen time on KUTK is very limited. One episode she was on there long enough to tell her mom Rob was sick. I would rather watch Kourtney and Scott. Kourtney is my favorite Kardashian. I find Kourtney to be more down to earth and taking everything in stride than anyone else. I also love her style.  Maybe Khloe can make an appearance. I like her realness.

Back to this Kardashian backlash. I find it a bit ridiculous. The survey is pointless because the only way the Kardashian family will be cancelled is if people stop watching. The Kardashian's have made E! so much money they could afford to buy Kim, the Jenners, and Kourtney and Scott new houses. I also heard that some of that $18.5 million was %30 of advertising revenue. If Kim and Kris were/are getting $15 million off of revenue alone, imagine how much E! was getting. Kim better enjoy that $18.5 million because if she wants to salvage her "career" she needs to lay low. I also suggest that her and pimp mama Kris learn from this and think before profiting off her personal life.

This is the only time when the Kardashian's have miscalculated their move. Every move so far has moved America's attention from Kim being an amateur porn star to her being America's sweetheart. Kris has succeeded in making the Kardashian a household brand. The family hasn't had any slip ups, public scandals, and everyone has been on their best behavior. With the exception of Scott, who had an interesting fourth season and time in Miami, Khloe who went to jail for DUI, and Rob's loserness, the Kardashian's have been a regular family. These scandals were those that made you roll your eyes and name someone in your family who has done these things. You rooted for the Kardashians. Heck, you even liked them because they seemed normal.

The problem is that the line between normal and "reality" has faded. If you watched the sixth season of KUTK, you see Kim and her mother slipping more into their "reality" fame. Kris has become less of the doting mother trying to keep her family in check and more of the "momanger." Bruce reminded her that her time with her younger daughters is severly limited and Khloe or Kourtney boycotted a meeting because the only time they talk to her is about business. Kim is just annoying. In her interactions with Kris, you can see that she has lost touched with reality. People feel duped by the short marriage. I don't know why. The only person who should feel duped is Kris. We found out he was getting divorce before he did. He probably found out by one of his friends, or family members texting him and asking if he's okay. That's who should feel duped. Everyone else can have several seats in a stadium. If you don't like the Kardashians, don't support them. Don't buy their products or watch their show. If you do continue to watch them, take it for what it is, pure entertainment.
