The Truth About Green Grass

There is a popular idiom that goes "The Grass is always Greener on the Other Side." This idiom speaks about envy and appreciation for what you have. Some people have added "but the water bill is higher" or "until you have to mow it." I have my own theory about "The Grass is Always Greener."

Let's talk about Grass, proverbial and literal. We like beautiful things. We admire them. We have been trained to appreciate the results of hard work but few people realize how much work it takes. Grass, literal and proverbial, is not green on its own. It takes a lot of hard work, determination, diligence, and patience to get green grass. Before you begin staring at other people's grass, worry about your own grass. If you focus on cultivating, watering, and seeding your grass, you can have green grass too.
