Esteem of Self

This is one of the most poignant things ever said. Say what you want about Katt Williams but you can't deny he has a valid point with this joke. Too many people determine their self worth based on how others feel. Like Katt said, it's called ESTEEM of SELF. Notice it didn't say of others, it said of self. Self esteem is a personal condition that has nothing to do with others.

For the boogie people, too good to listen to anything a cursing, allegedly drug using, uneducated comedian says, Eleanor Roosevelt said something similar, "no one can make you feel inferior without your consent." If someone has the power to reduce your self esteem, it's not because they have special voodoo powers, it's because you allow them to. You have to give someone power over you in order for them to have it. They didn't come, beat you down, and steal the power, you slowly gave it to them. Self esteem, is esteem of self and has nothing to do with external things, including people or circumstances. How you feel about you is a personal problem. It's not that haters, your mother, father, siblings, your boss, the fashion models, media, society, or anyone else we like to blame for our lack of self esteem, it's us.

Beauty is an internal condition. Yes, we have physical beauty but we also have internal beauty that radiates ten times stronger than external beauty. How you feel about yourself is completely up to you.
