Updated Thoughts on the Sandusky Scandal

When the scandal first broke, I wrote my thoughts about Mike McQueary finding Sandusky in the shower with a boy and him not doing anything or still be employed by Penn State. As 2 more victims emege in the scandal, I want to give more thoughts.

  1. Don't be fooled, Sandusky has had access to kids since the 70's, know there are more than 10 victims in this case. I'd estimate 30 or 40, and that's a low estimate, Sandusky just began getting caught in the mid 90's.
  2. I don't understand why the defendant in a criminal case has to give interviews. There is a reason why the saying silence is golden has stood the test of time. The two interviews Sandusky has given should be his last. In an interview Sandusky said that he likes spending time with children, red flag anyone. If there is something higher than red flag, this calls for it. Sandusky is almost 70, the only children he should be spending time with are biological family members. It's creepy. Like Michael Jackson and his rationale of sleeping with children. It shouldn't happen.
  3. This spending time with children went beyond his foundation or football, he spend time with children in private compounds. The children slept at his house and he took showers with them. Who does that? Who takes showers with children? Who takes showers with someone unless they're having sex? Too graphic?
  4. There are eyewitnesses. The graduate assistant, Mike Mcqueary, saw Sandusky with his own eyes having sex with a boy and the janitor who witnessed Sandusky engaged in oral sex. Two eyewitnesses, different times, different acts, that's hard to dispute. Also, what reason do these men have to lie? No one wants to see that and no one wants to be involved in that.
  5. Jerry Sandusky saying he didn't know about the allegations are a lie. When they banned him from bringing children on campus, they had to tell him something about the allegations. They probably said people are talking about you with children in the shower and you can't do that here. Maybe he thought something else, but he knew what was going on.
  6. The wife knew. People try to act like wives never know, she knew, if she didn't she had to have an inkling. If her womanly instincts didn't peak when her husband crept downstairs when the boys were staying over, I don't know what to tell her. My instincts would have peaked. If it were a woman that was staying over and her husband spent hours down stairs, know she would have been down there or she would have confronted him. Victim 9 said Sandusky performed oral sex and tried to rape him penetrating a few times, all in that house. One of the new victims said he screamed and she didn't come down. She knew something.
  7. I know in America we say innocent until proven guilty, Sandusky is guilty. I'm sure these 8, now 10 boys, two of whom remain unidentified, didn't get together and fabricate the same story. Everything is too consistent. How he groomed his victims, the gifts, where and how he molested shows a too consistent pattern. Sandusky's attorney wants you to question the credibility of the victims but no one wants to be a rape victim. Although they may get some settlement money, and Penn State should be grateful there are only 10 plaintiffs because know there are more, no one wants to be a rape victim. As a rape victim, because there is little evidence and its usually he says she says, or he says he says in this case, the credibility of the victim falls into question and the defense will rip into anything they can. that's why a lot rape victims don't testify because it is so difficult and you feel like you're being punished for telling the truth.
