Why Does Beyonce's Heritage Bother Us?

In Beyonce's new commerical for  L'Oreal's True Match concealer, she lists her heritage as African American, French, and Native American" and people are uncomfortable about it. My reaction is, so? Isn't Beyonce all of those things? If you look at her mother, Tina Knowles, you can see that she's mixed with something. The Beyince family is creole and there's nothing wrong with her stating it.

Beyonce can't win from losing. She garners controversy when they (L'oreal)  lighten her skin and now she's getting controversy for listing her heritage. Whatever. I don't get what makes us so uncomfortable. I have multi-racial friends who just check black although they can trace where each heritage comes from, but because they have  a parent who may just be biracial not of another race, people look at them funny when they check other races besides black. I also want to know why multi-racial people get to check off Native American when most Americans have Native American heritage? If Beyonce wants to list all the races in her heritage, why can't she? It was an open secret that Beyonce had other races but now that she says it, people want to get upset. Why are we still abiding by the one-drop rule? Everyone who is mad should several seats in an African American history class.
